well. now that *that’s* over
Now that summer is over (gasp, I know) we will have more stitching related stuff to talk about. We’ve officially done one stitch and bitch so far, and that was this sunday (it was a long weekend) and it was great. Over the summer, I’ve done really minimal amounts, but still some knit, crochet, and learned how to cross stitch. I’ve also done some sewing. My needles have all been busy
I fully intend on making a pair of socks while I’m in France, so maybe I’ll post here just for novelty!
One thing I have done a lot of this summer is *buy* yarn. It seems my stash has doubled. I found a sale at Michael’s and bought 4 supersize balls of cotton (those large 350-400g balls) for $2.50 each. basically 4 for the price of 1. and I intend on making a blanket out of it. I’ve started with the crochet moss stitch, but it’s too stretchy, so I think I’m going to go to something else. I’m so fickle. Other than that, I intend on finishing my lacy cashmere that I put down so long ago so I have a stole for my shoulders, and bring that to france. If it’s not busy tonight at work, i can whip that off. It’s really at it’s last stage anyway. Surprise surprise, I left something undone, just when it needs finishing. When I get back, I am going to shelve my fears of it and make something pretty with my angora.
