What’s next?

So, I’ve got all these projects on the go, but I’ve finally finished the blanket that made me insecure. For some reason, I’ve been all 12-year-old-girl-not-knowing-what-to-wear about this blanket for Andrea, but I finally bit the bullet and finished it. I have a bit of sewing to do, and then I will post the picture. But, all the stitching is done. It’s a combo knit, crochet and sewn baby item, that I hope will be enjoyed by those who use it. :)

I’m so close to finishing that one gift that I will not mention for fear of letting the receiver know what it is, but am so close I can taste it. I’d like to make a wool hat to walk home in, since I am enjoying the daily pedestrian activity, but I fear it will just be a distraction from all the other things I must do. Will my stitch work never end? No, and I think that is the point. Still, I’ve gotta love it. :)

In sort of related news, as many people know, I love listening to audiobooks while I stitch at work, and last night I finished Coraline. It was quite enjoyable, and very creepy. Especially when you realise it is written for kids. eeek! next up: Nineteen Eighty Four. I’m looking forward to it :)
